We’ve never seen so many selfie sticks as in Kyoto; selfie sticks, cameras, phones on cameras. It’s prompting us to use the word ‘poseathon’ which apparently already exists on social media. People pose on social media? who knew.
Look even the geisha do selfies.
Anyway, we started to get a little bit exasperated with people stood in the way of the beauty, staring at the beauty on their screens. This is the amount of people looking at technology instead of looking at beauty. We just find it a bit odd that you’d come all the way to an incredible place on holiday and then not experience it fully. But that’s just our opinion people.
We think selfie sticks give you a hundred pictures of yourself with different backgrounds. Which unless you’re going to do for a year and turn it in to a time lapse, is pointless. It also encourages you to be narcissistic, if you don’t know what that word is, it’s when you take a picture of yourself every 5 minutes. End of rant. Thanks.
