Be warned, this will basically be beautiful sunset shots over and over again, so if you’re going to get jealous you might wanna go and put the kettle on whilst everyone else looks.
Yep. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
southern Cambodia is well known for it’s sunsets and we enjoyed beautiful fading of the light at all three destinations that we visited this time around. Kep, Otres, and Koh Kong to come.
People come out in the evening cool and play games by the beach.
Some fisherman uses this time to head out to sea.
Others don’t, leaving their boats as perfect bobbing subjects for our pictures. Thanks.
Let’s go back to that other one, because that was pretty spectacular.
We woke up early a few mornings for a swim, the beach was almost empty and so calm.
Almost empty, apart from this guy and his friends.
We call stray dogs ‘Shu’.
We’d go down to the beach from Pachamama, go check out their site, in the early evening just as the light began to fade. Walk down the beach paddling in the water and end up in this place.
It’s called Secret Garden, but it’s not a very big secret. There’s a sign on the beach.
They serve the best soft squid, with chilli light batter, and garlic dip. We went back on another evening because it was so good!
Had a bit of wine too.
Being by the beach is the only place that we’ve found where we properly relax, there’s something about a place with nothing to do but lie by the beach, there’s something about the rhythmic sound of the waves that just calms us both.
It allowed us to de-clutter and de-stress a little.
Let’s have that good sunset one last time.
