This is by no means an exhaustive list of the ways that the Vietnamese live and breathe on their motorbikes. It’s just a snapshot.
This country literally wouldn’t function without the millions of motorbikes on the streets.
And it starts young, you see a lot of bikes with these little metal seats welded onto the front for children…
to ride them like this…
Other kids just have to hang on.
And of course you can fit your whole family on there. Four is easy peasy.
Electric scooters in the cities are also pretty interesting with passengers.
With this many bikes on the road everywhere you look…
…parking can be a bit of a nightmare, as you might imagine.
They’re good places to sleep,
and are used to transport more or less EVERYTHING.
Bamboo, trailing down the path behind.
Greenery, probably for the buffalo,
Live chickens, in carrier bags.

Loads of bottles,
And to bring home ALL your shopping from the market.
Shops on wheels,
Selling dried squid.
It’s really really amazing to watch how they do it!
The UK will seem pretty drab when we return!
